Shilajit is a unique product that is included in thousands of medicinal instructions for the treatment of chronic diseases. In alternative medicine, mumiyo is often used for hemorrhoids and proctological problems.
In oriental medicine, mumiyo has been used for more than three thousand years. This substance has a beneficial effect on all vital functions of the body, therefore it is successfully used in the treatment of various diseases. Hemorrhoids are no exception.
Mumiyo is a product of natural origin, the formation of which involves rocks, various plants and animals, and microorganisms.
This complex process has not been fully studied to date. The valuable substance is enclosed in a resin-like substance. It softens with the warmth of your hands and dissolves in water, leaving a small sediment. The taste is bitter. Mumiyo tends to accumulate in the body and is slowly excreted. Therefore, the therapeutic effect persists for a long time even after the end of the use of this drug for medicinal purposes.
The product is taken orally, dissolved in any non-alcoholic drinks. And externally, adding honey and juices to ointments.
Effective treatment
Mumiyo is taken both internally and externally for the treatment of hemorrhoids. Dissolve in water, drink tablets, make suppositories, ointments and rectal suppositories.
For external use, it is dissolved in honey in a ratio of 1:5. Lubricate the anus, going deep to 10 centimeters. The course of treatment is from 3 to 4 months, then a month break and the course is repeated again. Usually two cycles of treatment are enough for a therapeutic effect.
The best therapeutic effect is observed with simultaneous oral and external use.
For these purposes, it can be dissolved in peach oil or beef fat. The ratio of ingredients is the same as in combination with honey. Shilajit is very good at treating hemorrhoids in the initial stages of the disease, when the nodes have not yet fallen out of the anal canal.
Rectal suppositories
Most often, rectal suppositories with mumiyo are used to treat hemorrhoids. This is a quick way to relieve inflammation and reduce itching and burning in the anus.
To prepare rectal suppositories at home, you need to take the required amount of the substance and mix it with water until a mushy mass is obtained. Add anhydrous lanolin to the resulting mixture and stir thoroughly. After a slight crack appears, you need to add cocoa butter and let it settle. After the mass has hardened, form candles.
For the purpose of prevention, such suppositories are used once a day for a month.
The course is repeated after six months. In case of exacerbation of hemorrhoidal pathology, suppositories with mumiyo are placed twice a day. The course of treatment is 10 days, then a break of 7 days and the course is repeated.
Useful ointment
Shilajit for hemorrhoids is also used in the form of creams and ointments. Homemade ointment is used as a wound healing agent.
To prepare an ointment of 4% or 7% you will need:
- 4 or 7 grams mumiyo
- 25 or 27 ml water
- 35 grams anhydrous lanolin
- 100 grams of medical Vaseline
Heat the mumiyo three times to 80°C in a water bath. Sterilization is carried out at intervals of 1 day. Sterilize lanolin together with petroleum jelly for 20 minutes at a temperature of about 200°C. After sterilizing all the ingredients of the unique product, dissolve in water and mix with the other ingredients until smooth.
The ointment should be stored in a dark place. It is better to observe the temperature regime, which should not exceed 20°C. The value of 7% ointment lies in its bactericidal properties.
Lotions
Shilajit-based lotions are an excellent remedy in the fight against hemorrhoidal cones.
For the procedure you will need 1 part mumiyo and 1 part peach oil, which must be mixed thoroughly. Cotton cloth is soaked in the healing composition and applied to the anus for half an hour.
Sitz baths
Such procedures are indicated for external hemorrhoids.
To prepare the bath you will need:
- onion peel - 3 handfuls
- boiling water - 1 cup
- mumiyo - 25 grams
- warm water - 2 tablespoons
Onion peels should be brewed with boiling water and left until it cools down to 37°C. Dissolve mumiyo in warm water and mix with onion peel infusion. Pour the resulting composition into a bowl of warm water. The bath time is 15 minutes. The procedures must be done within 10 days, preferably after a cleansing enema.

At the first stage of the disease, you can get rid of it quite quickly with the help of mumiyo. In chronic cases, such drugs are used to relieve symptoms of pathology.
Shilajit has a number of healing properties in the treatment of hemorrhoids:
