Pearl mask reviews. Useful properties of pearl powder. Liver and vision

Did you know that pearls are not only a beautiful and noble gemstone, but also an excellent natural skin care product for the face and body. More precisely, pearl powder, which has been used for many centuries with great success by the beauties of China. It was from the Celestial Empire that the fashion for using pearl powder for cosmetic purposes began.

Your humble servant, being an ardent fan of natural and, if possible, pacifistic Asian cosmetics, also tried this unusual healing potion on herself a long time ago. The time has come to report and burst out with an impressive review of him.

Review of pearl powder: good for face and body

Pearl powder is a real fine powder made from natural pearls. White color, very fine grinding, almost complete absence of odor, but if you sniff it, it’s a slight reminder of the characteristic iodine sea flavour. It tastes salty.

I first became acquainted with it as part of a very effective anti-aging and whiteningKokliang line of creams for problem skin, which I highly recommend. For he:

  • Lightens age spots and freckles
  • evens out skin tone and texture
  • tightens pores
  • helps get rid of acne
  • Suitable for both aging skin and acne-prone skin.

Completely delighted with the Koklyan cream, I wanted to try pearl powder as a solo product. Even in Cambodian cosmetics stores, which are poor in assortment, it was not difficult to find the coveted white powder.

I have found the following uses for clam powder.

  1. For enriching creams. I simply add a little powder to any day or night cream, fluid or even oil, and it provides a long-lasting effect of drying the sebaceous glands, eliminating oily shine, whitening and reducing pores.
With skin lightening, the topic will probably not appeal to everyone, because... many strive to look the most tanned. However, ladies over thirty, who have experienced the consequences of a long stay under the merciless sun rays of Southeast Asia in the form of age spots, will understand me. For the last couple of years, the most prominent parts of my face - my nose and chin - have also been treacherously covered with unpleasant photo-freckles.
You can even add it to your foundation in small quantities - it significantly reduces oily shine and provides a healing and caring effect throughout the day.
  2. As a scrub. Mix with water or milk, scrub for a few seconds, then you can leave it on your face for a greater cosmetic effect. The skin remains very smooth, silky, without inflammation or irritation, as sometimes happens after low-quality chemical scrubs.
  3. For powdering at night. In the morning there is guaranteed to be no nasty oiliness, minor rashes are treated, pores are narrowed, the skin feels very good.

Other uses of pearl powder

However, this product is used not only for facial and body skin care. I know of at least two other uses. Which, however, I have not yet tested on myself for the reasons described below.

  1. Inside like food supplement. It is believed to strengthen bones and teeth, serve as a source of natural, well-absorbed calcium and iodine, eliminate infections, improve vision and especially strengthen the tissue of the cornea of the eye, rejuvenate, eliminate frigidity and impotence, and regulate the menstrual cycle. It is highly recommended for pregnant women as a natural remedy that promotes the proper formation of organs and tissues in the child.
I haven’t tried it for the simple reason of not being sure of its 100% composition, because I buy my pearl powder in Cambodian stores. All kinds of fakes or low-quality cosmetic products are often found here; a lot of them imitate Korea and Thailand.
  2. For cleaning and whitening teeth.
Here, in principle, I would not play with such things, because... It seems to me that as an abrasive, mother-of-pearl powder can be too coarse and simply damage the enamel of the teeth. Perhaps it does whiten, but I’m not ready to sacrifice my already too delicate and thin enamel for the sake of whiteness.

To summarize, I definitely recommend it for use as cosmetics. The only case in which the effectiveness of pearl powder is questionable is dry skin, because... What it does is dry it out and eliminate excess fat. Rather, it is only suitable for oily, normal or combination sensitive skin.

Where to buy Pearl Powder

DoctorHolland has been featured on the DoctorHolland website for several years now.

There are also several reviews about the product. I’ll just add that the consumption of powder is extremely economical when added to creams and oils, so 30 g is enough for several months.

In my opinion, a very noteworthy product from Asia. Economical, natural, effective, suitable for vegetarians, which is personally important to me, i.e. is not a product of violence. Still, if you consider the collection of mother-of-pearl as a kind of violence against animals, it smacks of fanaticism...

With wishes of beautiful skin, white teeth and good health, sincerely yours, Marta.

MULTIFUNCTIONAL TOOL

Pearl powder is one of the most famous traditional Chinese medicine. For thousands of years, pearl powder has been used as the main means of preserving youth and beauty.

Pearl powder increases skin elasticity, promotes active cell regeneration, lightens pigmentation, evens out the color and surface of the skin, making it fresh, smooth and well-groomed.
Thanks to innovative pearl crushing technology, the powder has an extra effect of scrubbing, cleansing and brightening the skin.

2. Facial scrub: in the evening, apply powder to damp facial skin, massage, rinse with clean water. Attention! Do not use powder if there is damage to the skin. Do not use internally.

Ground pearl powder is a remedy that has been actively used in Eastern medicine for thousands of years. It has many uses, both internally and externally, and the long list of beneficial properties can be summarized as healing and rejuvenation of the body and skin including. Pearl powder is widespread in China, which is where I got it, a generous 200 gram bag.

The bag contains another transparent bag of powder.

As always, the description of properties and methods of use, masterfully translated into Russian by the Chinese:

“prevent the formation of pimples” - an extremely useful property ^_^

The powder itself is white, very, very finely ground, real powder.

On the packaging there is an inscription in large hieroglyphs that translates as Nanometer, nanometer - and this is found in many manufacturers of pearl powder in China. I do not have sufficient knowledge of both the Chinese language and physics to fully understand what exactly this gives us. The only guess is that the pearls are ground into nanoparticles (particles measured in nanometers, 1 nm = one billionth of a meter), i.e. incredibly fine powder, so it can act more actively. Nanotechnology, however!

Many people are surprised how ground pearls can be so cheap and sold in bags. As far as I understand Chinese descriptions, the production of powder uses ugly pearls that have no jewelry value, and there are a lot of them, so the powder is relatively inexpensive.

Smell. It has its own specific smell, which is unpleasant to my nose, reminiscent of the smell of burnt hair. But it is strongly felt only when preparing the mask, and in other cases it does not interfere. Besides, it’s not the most disgusting smell possible (for example, raw eggs smell much worse, brrr), so it’s quite possible to use.

I am primarily interested in the cosmetic properties of powder. There are 2 main directions here: masks and powdering.

Masks . You can make your own mask from pearl powder by diluting it with water or other liquid. Mixes easily, resulting in a delicate consistency like thick cream. The powder mono-mask has an unpleasant odor, so I add a few drops there essential oils. It dries quickly on the face, it is better to spray with water or hydrosol.

After rinsing off, an unusual feeling is created on the skin - the skin is not velvety or silky, as is the case with other natural masks, but as if powdered. Pearl powder is famous for its ability to whiten the skin (including fight pigment spots and freckles), which is very popular among Asian women. And indeed it is - it gives a uniform light skin tone. I really like this "feel like a geisha" result, I'm a fan of white skin!

Mono-masks made from pearl powder are interesting, but it is more effective and pleasant to make multi-component masks, mixing them with clay, other powders and oils (more on this).

Pearl powder can also be used as peeling wash alone or adding to homemade ubtans. I make ubtans from oatmeal, clay, herbal powders and pearl powder. This powder mixture is diluted with water and applied to the face with massage movements, then washed off - it perfectly cleanses the skin!

Another direction of using pearl powder is leave-in products.

Powder base . I have unconventional tastes: as decorative base powders, I prefer white single-component powders. Mineral powders specially created for makeup with pigment for fair skin seem too yellow and dark for my skin, I try them, but use white powder as a base. And this pearl powder, of course, did not escape the fate of being powdered on the face. It evens out color and texture, mattifies, and slightly brightens the skin.

Of course, it highlights flaking, if any, but this is not a powder problem, but a skin problem. It seems to me that mineral powders cannot dry out the skin on their own, they only show that the skin lacks hydration (even oily skin).

I made friends with pearl powder as a base in the same way as with other mineral powders: moisturizer first, sprinkling with hydrosol after application. Once the powder has settled, it is completely invisible on the face. The skin becomes so uniform that even the camera refuses to focus on it))

Night powder . So who owns this idea - powdering your face with natural powders at night - the Chinese! Pearl powder contains calcium, amino acids and other microelements that are beneficial for the skin. improve its functioning and prevent the formation of wrinkles, have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. It also mattifies - in the morning the skin looks beautiful and fresh. I use pearl powder at night both on its own and as part of a homemade night powder with other natural ingredients ().

A little pearl powder can be added to the cream - this gives a mattifying effect and protection from ultraviolet radiation.

They also use pearl powder internally as a dietary supplement, diluting it with water. I'm not ready for this method of use yet. And on the packaging there are instructions only for its external use, so I will look for powder with direct instructions from the manufacturer about the possibility of oral administration. Read more about medicinal properties can be read in this article.

This package of pearl powder was purchased on Aliexpress for $7.56, i.e. about 250 rub. The link I used to buy no longer works, and this is for the better, because the seller of BLUE RAIN's store posted a photo and description of a 250 g package of powder of the same brand, and sent a 200 g package. Although the price is still fair for 200 g , but I DO NOT recommend this seller. There are still many offers of pearl powder of different brands on Ali, search for “pearl powder". There is even more choice on Taobao, for example, here is a link to exactly the same package of powder as mine. Price on Tao, of course, fantastically low: 4 yuan = a little more than 20 rubles I want to live in China! Tao and try different manufacturers to find the best.

Greetings to all who stopped by.

Today is a review of pearl powder from the Chinese manufacturer Meitan. Cosmetics from this company can be found mainly through consultant-distributors; somehow I have never seen their products on sale. I have been interested in pearl powder for a long time, so I was very happy when a relative and Meitan consultant gave me the treasured bag.

What is pearl powder? Essentially, these are pearls ground to a powder state, at least that’s what the manufacturers of this product write. In this form, this product is very useful and has many applications in medicine and cosmetology.

Pearl powder contains 22 types of amino acids, the main material for the creation of new healthy cells, 18 microelements, glucose, which strengthens facial muscles, proteins and vitamins B and D. Pearl powder removes free radicals, improves metabolism, thereby providing a powerful rejuvenating effect, strengthens the protective forces of cells , activates sluggish, tired skin, increases its immune abilities and vitality, smoothes wrinkles, whitens age spots, gives the skin freshness, firmness, elasticity, matteness, silkiness and a healthy glow.

The packaging is a bag made of polymer material, equipped with a convenient clasp. Product weight - 120 grams. I have the old style packaging, the newer ones are designed in red and white colors. The powder is already a couple of years old, to be honest, I don’t know if such cosmetic products have an expiration date, and if so, what is it? It contains only ground pearls - there is nothing to spoil.

Having opened the package, we find a very finely ground white powder (like tooth powder!) - I wonder if these are really ground pearls?

The powder has practically no smell, which is generally logical - pearls do not smell. The grind is fine, the flour looks about the same.

And now my ways of using this product.

1. I brush my teeth with this powder.

I sprinkle the brush generously with powder, and then follow the standard procedure. No, it won’t replace toothpaste; perhaps you shouldn’t brush your teeth with it every day, since this powder polishes your teeth - they become so smooth! I think such polishing is appropriate a couple of times a week, so as not to inadvertently spoil the enamel.

2. Add pearl powder to the loose powder.

I have fairly fair skin, so some shades of powder, even the lightest ones in the line, are a little dark for me in winter. With loose powders and this pearl powder, this problem is easily solved: I remove the mesh dispenser from the loose powder, pour a little pearl powder into the regular powder, then gently mix with a toothpick until complete assimilation, so to speak. As soon as I see that the color has become uniform, without white inclusions, I finish mixing and the powder is ready for use! In addition to lightening the tone, this technique gives everyday powder the beneficial properties of pearl powder.

3. Washing with pearl powder.

I take a couple of pinches of powder in my palm and drip a little water until a paste forms. Then I wash my face with this paste. The result is the effect of squeaky clean skin, slightly evens out the complexion's tone, and lightens the pores. There is also a slight scrubbing effect, but this wash, of course, cannot be compared with a full-fledged scrub; rather, the sensations are similar to those you experience when using 3-in-1 products with clay, such as Loreal or Garnier washes. I have mixed skin with an oily T-zone, after washing this way I notice a pronounced sebum-regulating effect, mattification and a little drying. Those with dry and sensitive skin should probably not overuse this wash.

In addition, you can make whitening masks from this powder. But, since I am already white-skinned, this method is not relevant for me.

The manufacturer’s recommendations say that the powder can (and even this is useful) be used internally, that is, eaten, but, to be honest, for me this is crazy, I don’t plan to use this powder, even though it should, in theory, have a beneficial effect on my body .
