The plant can be seen from afar. Its thin-leaved stems up to 3 m high are decorated with yellow umbrellas of inflorescences. If it were not for the expressive shade of the flowers and the height of the grass, it could be confused. The plant tolerates low humidity well and can grow on hilly slopes.

Healing herb Adam's root has relatively large, heart-shaped leaves that point upward. The plant is dioecious. Flowers bloom from April to May (later in the northern regions). The flowers are small, characteristic green-yellow in color. The fruits are bright red berries, about 1 cm in diameter, ripening from July to September (depending on location and weather conditions).

Important! The fruits of Ferula Dzhungarskaya are poisonous!

The grass is distributed in European countries, the Caucasus, Crimea, and some regions of Russia. The presence of the plant is characteristic of the loess zone.

The root produces a juice similar to milk. Contained essential oils provide a distinct smell (not very pleasant). But it is the oils that are the most valuable component of the plant.

Ferula dzungarian (omik) is a perennial herbaceous umbrella plant with lush beautiful leaves and a thick and tall stem, 1-4 meters high. The leaves are basal, collected in a rosette, with a trifoliate dissected plate. The umbrellas are large, without wrapper, collected in a panicle. The flowers are polygamous, yellow or whitish.

Semi-fruits are flat-compressed, with thread-like, less often sharp, ribs.

Attention: the plant is poisonous! In terms of poisonous properties, ferula is weaker than veka and hemlock. Poisoning with plant poisons occurs when eating fruits, leaves or roots of poisonous plants that are mistakenly mistaken for edible.

Attention: when treated with omika drugs, especially at the beginning of treatment (the first 1–2 days), it can cause an increase blood pressure in hypertensive patients, lasting up to 2 hours, then the pressure stabilizes and normalizes, dropping to normal values.

Medicinal preparations from omica root:

— tincture of omik (ferula jungar): 30 g of crushed omik root, pour 0.5 vodka, leave for 10–14 days. Take: 1 hour before meals, 2 times a day, 1 drop, then drink in increasing quantities up to 20 drops.

Scheme for taking the tincture: from 1 drop 2 times a day to 20 drops daily, increasing the dose by 1 drop 2 times a day. Then take 20 drops 2 times a day for 20 days, then in reverse order reducing the dose to 1 drop 2 times a day. Then they take a break for 10 days and repeat the course again.

Preparation and use

The method of using the resulting tincture is a whole regimen of administration. In the morning of the first day of therapy you need to drink 1 drop drug, and in the evening - two.
